Though variants of Photoshop have been out for decades, in this, the first version of its latest version under the new moniker, “Photoshop Elements,” it is the new features in this iteration which separate it from the rest.

Photoshop Elements is available for Windows, macOS and iOS operating systems. The product, which can run at a first-rate performance, and is planned to update, splits the market into three distinct variants: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Photoshop Creative Suite, and Adobe Photoshop Elements. And yet, the only new features here are those of the Photoshop Elements alone compared to the original Photoshop version 12 years ago. It reduces the price for most customers, and many others, to the price of the previous one (i.e., known as now what was known as Photoshop CS6).

The design environment is simple, offering nothing more than the basic information needed for its editing purposes. You can view color and black and white at the same time. The color palette can either be arranged in a light or dark way, but both distribution methods are easy to use if you start the camera accordingly. The document preview window is located in the lower left of the workspace and will list out the images that will be edited in the document. The basic edit panel is on the right side and gives you access to options you need to make your work as easy as possible, such as cropping, rotating, and aligning objects. A history view is available to track your edits, and words appear next to the icons indicating where and how you made the changes. You can use the Curves tool to change the post–shoot adjustments to your images, but be careful that you don’t make things too extreme, since anything over the 0 mark is not really usable. Besides, if you make changes to the exposure, for example, it will not be saved in the editable PSD file, but will remain in a separate file. Think of this as one of the ways that we can give that familiar diamond when we get to Photoshop CC (or at least get some diamond)! A viewing window is available at the bottom of the edit panels, and the clone tool is not a video editor, but a cloning tool. You can copy to a separate file, as well as join sections of the same image. Thus, you can clone to work on the background of a subject in a particular area without altering the actual image.

The Program: Photoshop is very intuitive, easy to learn and very useful. You’ll want to spend at least 3-4 hours looking at some of the features this software has to offer. Though there are many men and women out there who have used this software, Photoshop still has a long ways to go before becoming an industry standard for professional quality image editing.

We’ll focus on how Photoshop started and the role that the Epiphyte project takes on the web today. The idea of running software as complex as Photoshop directly in the browser would have been hard to imagine just a few years ago. However, by using various new web technologies, Adobe has now brought a public beta of Photoshop to the web.
