I can’t judge that, but I can make a comparison with Elements 12, which is the “traditional” version of Elements and thus can be assumed to be a better deal than the “Lite” version that replaced the full version of Elements 6.6:
For $179, you get a huge amount of stuff from back when you could get the full version of Elements, but you also get drawbacks. On the one hand, you don’t get enough storage to use as a storage destination for your images. You get 256 MB of free storage storage in Elements 12, after you purchase Lightroom 6 . And, on the other hand, your files are not backed up.
